Our Story

Our church began as a community group of Austin Christian Fellowship (“ACF”) led by Shawn and Anne-Marie Weekly in their Pflugerville home.  We fast became a community who genuinely loved one another and began to live our lives together.  The Founding Pastor of ACF asked Shawn to join his team as a Community Pastor of a location to be determined at a later date.   Through prayer and contemplation we decided to launch the community in the Northeast area of town.  Our members began to live on mission in their neighborhoods, on their jobs, and in their schools.

In 2013 we began to host a public Bible Study at the Wells Branch Community Center on Monday Nights.

On February 2, 2014, we started holding Sunday services, with the purpose of creating an environment where people can experience the love of Christ.  Our team of devoted families were sent by Austin Christian Fellowship (ACF) to be a satellite campus named, ACFNortheast (“ACFNe”).

After one full year of being a missional community in Pflugerville and holding video services at Windermere Primary School, the leadership of ACF and the leadership team of ACFNe decided that our church would best serve our community and best glorify God by becoming an independent church and Northeast Community Church was born.

In February of 2017 we moved into our new location on Vision Drive.

We exist to glorify God by making disciples who know, love and serve Jesus Christ.  God has sent people to be a part of our community from vastly different backgrounds.   We enjoy being able to say that we are a multicultural, multigenerational church with members from different walks of life coming together for the greater good of the Gospel.
