SERVE OUR CITY
Imagine if a church would forgo their normal Sunday morning service in order to serve the people in their community. This is exactly what happens at Northeast Community Church when there is a 5th Sunday during a calendar month. We have designated those weekends for our “Serve Our City” events.
“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.”
(Acts 2:42,46-47)
We want to be a church that invests in our community by caring for those in need. Our prayer is that through Serve Our City weekends you build lasting relationships with people and ministries that you can serve on an ongoing basis. We serve because “even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Serving opportunities take place in lieu of our typical worship service in various locations around the city.
